Major David Adcock is a twenty-nine year veteran of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Reserve. He joined the unit in 1985 after graduation from Georgia State University, and completed his Peace Officer certification in 1986. He joined the Law Enforcement division and after 25 years accumulated more than 5,500 hours of service to the division and completed over 1,600 hours of training.
Currently serving as the Commander of the Reserve Unit, he has multiple certifications, including POST Instructor, SWAT certified, First Responder, CPR Instructor, HazMat Responder/Operator and High Risk Warrant training. Major Adcock has served as a member of the unit’s leadership team since 1994.
Professionally, David is an IT Senior Project Manager at Georgia Tech working with over 200 customers in Software Development, and for sixteen years was an entrepreneur in the transportation industry who operated a multi-location vehicle leasing and relocation business.
